Gijs van Eck

Gijs van Eck is a senior researcher at Significance. He graduated in 2010 with a degree in Civil Engineering from Delft University of Technology, specializing in Transport and Planning. After that, he spent several years conducting research on travel behaviour in multimodal transport networks at the same university. Since then, Gijs has been working at Significance, where he has become a specialist on large-scale strategic traffic and transport models. He uses his in-depth knowledge of modelling techniques to develop and further improve these models. Gijs also has extensive experience in applying models such as the air travel demand model AEOLUS and the Dutch national transport model (Landelijk Model Systeem – LMS) in complex policy studies.
