Rodrigo Tapia is a Researcher II at Significance with experience in stated preference design, choice modelling and agent-based models – particularly in the freight transport context. He holds an MSc and a PhD in Transportation Systems from the UFRGS (Brazil), where he developed freight choices models. During this period, he worked in different departments at the Ministry of Transport of Argentina. In 2019, after finishing his PhD, he joined the Choice Modelling Centre at the Institute for Transport Studies, University of Leeds, and later the Transport and Planning department at TU Delft, where he worked on Horizon projects, applying agent-based and behavioural models to freight transport. Since 2023, he has a part-time position in the Transport Research Lab of Roma TRE university, researching and modelling freight stakeholder engagement, while also working at Significance.
