Gijs van Eck

Gijs van Eck obtained a master degree in Civil Engineering in 2010 at Delft University of Technology with Transport and Planning as his specialization. During his master thesis research he developed (and applied) a mathematical tool to design urban public transport networks. Currently, he is finishing his doctoral thesis on the prediction of multimodal travel behaviour by means of strategic transport models. In this study he translated a new conceptual modelling framework into an operational tool suitable for the evaluation of large scale transport systems. At the beginning of 2014 Gijs joined Significance. Here he contributed to the further development of urban and national multimodal strategic transport models.
